Arab Council for the Defense of Liberal Trials and Human Rights
ACSFT was established in Cairo in 2006 as a NGO registered with the Ministry of Social Solidarity (Reg. No. 6516 ), according to the law number 84 of the year 2002.
We aim at developing tools to protect and strengthen the rights of all citizens and non-citizens to fair trial and equal treatment, in Egypt and in the Arab countries, according to national and international legislation and guarantees.
We promote freedom of expression and social participation as the essential conditions to build a democratic society where human rights are fully implemented and defended.
ACSFT is a main partner of the UN refugee agency (UNHCR) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
Arab Council for the Defense of Liberal Trials and Human Rights
We frequently work in network with number of local, national and international organizations and grassroots movements. Joint activities may include sharing of information, exchanging proposals, human rights monitoring, coordinating actions and organizing training courses.
